Our partner company is expanding its tech team and is looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer - Integration (m/f/d) to drive data pipelines, integrations, and LLM workflows forward.
Your mission: You will build the data pipelines and integration architecture that keeps the B2B commerce business running - from ERP and supplier APIs to event-driven data flows and connecting LLMs into existing processes. You decide when batch or real-time processing is required and set up the architecture accordingly. You will work directly with the Technical Lead and the Automation Engineers.

BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Integration with core and partner systems (ERP, CRM, etc.)
- Performing data modeling and performance optimization in PostgreSQL, Firestore, and BigQuery as well as developing and deploying GCP Cloud Functions
- Building event-driven systems with GCP Pub/Sub and deciding between real-time and batch processing depending on the use case
- Implementing workflow orchestration with n8n or Airflow as well as ensuring robust error handling, retry logic, and monitoring
- Integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into data pipelines and building RAG workflows: preparing, chunking, vectorizing, and loading data into vector DBs
- Managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions / Cloud Build and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform as well as effectively using AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code)
YOUR PROFILE
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend, Data, or Integration Engineer with very good knowledge of Python
- Practical experience with dbt (modeling, testing, documentation)
- Experience with serverless architectures (Cloud Functions, AWS Lambda, or similar) and a solid understanding of event-driven architecture (Pub/Sub, message queues, events)
- Sound judgment when choosing between batch and event-driven processing depending on the use case
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) as well as confident handling of REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Pragmatism: MVP over perfection, speed over over-engineering
- German (native or near-native level)
- Bonus: GCP experience (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery), workflow tools (n8n, Airflow), Terraform, Firestore/NoSQL, vector DBs, or LLM integration
