About the opportunity
Act within the Prevention Team with a focus on proactive identification, analysis, and mitigation of security risks in Cloud, IT, and OT environments, supporting clients in the continuous reduction of their attack surface and strengthening their security posture.
The professional will be responsible for conducting preventive activities in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and cloud workloads, assessing configuration flaws, identity risks, service exposure, and security controls, based on frameworks, best practices, and market standards.
The role is oriented towards preventing high-impact incidents, prioritizing critical risks, continuously improving technical controls, and supporting the evolution of detection and response capabilities, integrating EDR, SIEM, and hardening strategies in Windows, Linux, Cloud, and OT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act within the Prevention Team, conducting proactive risk and exposure analyses in client environments.
- Assess and strengthen security controls in Cloud environments, including Azure and Microsoft 365, based on recognized frameworks.
- Analyze and improve the security of Active Directory (on-premises) and Entra ID, focusing on identity, authentication, authorization, and privileged access.
- Conduct technical assessments on Windows and Linux systems, including hardening, service exposure, permissions, credentials, and attack surfaces.
- Identify and prioritize critical vulnerabilities that represent significant risks of intrusion or compromise.
- Support prevention initiatives based on frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Critical Security Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Work with EDR, assessing security posture, prevention coverage, and control effectiveness on endpoints.
- Engage with SIEMs, with a strong focus on Microsoft Sentinel, supporting the evolution of use cases for prevention, correlation, and risk reduction.
- Evaluate firewall controls, network segmentation, and perimeter security, proposing improvements when necessary.
- Support security initiatives in OT environments, respecting operational constraints and industrial protocols.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes, controls, and architectures adopted by clients.
- Document technical analyses, recommendations, mitigation plans, and security decisions.
- Work in an organized manner across multiple clients and environments simultaneously.
Minimum requirements
Hard Skills – IT / Cloud
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Linux.
- Solid experience in Cloud environments, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, including security controls.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience in IAM, including MFA, RBAC, privileged access, and identity governance.
- In-depth knowledge of networks and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience with EDR and endpoint security.
- Experience with SIEMs, especially Microsoft Sentinel, as well as other market SIEMs.
- Knowledge of firewalls, network segmentation, and perimeter controls.
- Strong understanding of modern threats, attack techniques, and exposure surfaces.
- Practical experience in prevention, hardening, and detection activities.
Hard Skills – OT / ICS
- Applied knowledge of OT/ICS environments.
- Familiarity with industrial protocols, such as Modbus, DNP3, PROFINET.
- Understanding of architectural differences between IT and OT.
- Knowledge of security based on ISA/IEC 62443 and defense practices in industrial environments.
