Job Description

Reporting to the Financial ERP Manager, the D365 Functional Analyst is responsible for identifying improvement opportunities for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) module and ensuring their successful implementation.

The D365 analyst works closely with users to translate business needs into functional solutions, as well as with the ERP IT team to ensure alignment between operational needs, system capabilities, and necessary developments.

Your responsibilities

Gain a deep understanding of accounting operations performed in D365, system configuration, and its integrations with other AIM systems.

Analyze existing processes and configurations to identify gaps and improvement opportunities aimed at increasing operational efficiency, financial data accuracy, and internal controls.

Gather and analyze business requirements from users, evaluate various potential solutions, and formulate recommendations based on best practices.

Evaluate the impacts, criticality, and feasibility of proposed improvements, then recommend their prioritization within the D365 F&O project portfolio.

Draft functional specifications translating Finance team needs into configuration changes, process improvements, or developments to be carried out by the ERP IT team.

Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle: analysis of the current state (AS-IS), design of target processes (TO-BE), gap analysis (Fit-Gap), configuration, testing, user training, deployment, post-go-live support, and documentation.

Act as the primary point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the D365 F&O module for Finance users and project teams.

Collaborate with internal and external specialists as well as multidisciplinary teams on complex projects, including the integration of new systems into D365 and the implementation of new modules.

Contribute to the development of the system evolution roadmap to better meet Finance operational needs, improve the reliability of financial information, ensure accounting compliance, and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

To join our team:

CPA designation or currently pursuing a CPA designation is an asset.

Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.

Solid knowledge of accounting operations and principles.

Experience with a financial ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

Autonomy, proactivity, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

High sense of responsibility, results-oriented, and a commitment to producing quality work.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to support change.

Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including users, IT teams, and senior management.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Bilingual in French and English.

Experience in implementing financial system improvements is an asset.
