The Baillie Group, a leading hardwood lumber manufacturer, is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Business & IT Support professional to join our team. This full-time position will provide first-line SAP support to our manufacturing facilities, yards, warehouses, and inventory operations. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys combining technology, data analysis, and real-world manufacturing operations to solve problems and improve processes.
SAP S/4HANA Business & IT Support Responsibilities
- Provide first-line SAP S/4HANA support to yard, production, warehouse, and inventory employees.
- Troubleshoot SAP issues and assist users with daily transactions.
- Support SAP Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) processes, including inventory movements, goods receipts, production orders, material consumption, and production confirmations.
- Use Microsoft Excel to analyze SAP data, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and identify transaction issues.
- Maintain and improve Excel-based reports, trackers, and dashboards.
- Manage and prioritize support requests and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Support physical inventory activities and help ensure SAP records accurately reflect actual inventory.
- Support SAP mobile devices used in yard and manufacturing operations, including installations and updates.
- Assist with SAP training and maintain user documentation.
- Work with operations teams to understand issues and develop practical solutions.
SAP S/4HANA Business & IT Support Qualifications
- 1–3 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience as a power user, key user, or support/helpdesk professional.
- Experience with SAP MM and/or PP and familiarity with Fiori applications.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, IF/IFS, Pivot Tables, Power Query, conditional formatting, and data validation.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and reconcile information exported from SAP.
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, industrial, or supply chain environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical employees.
- Comfortable working with frontline operations employees and visiting manufacturing facilities or yards when needed.
- Experience supporting mobile devices in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.
- Experience in the lumber, timber, paper, building materials, or forest products industry is highly desirable.
- VBA/Macros experience is a plus.
SAP S/4HANA Business & IT Support Pay & Benefits
- Remote position with travel to Baillie Group facilities several times per year
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST
- Competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), Paid vacations and holidays
Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Pay: $60,000 - $75,000/year*
- Work directly with operations teams to solve real-world business and technology challenges
*The advertised pay range represents what The Baillie Group believes we would anticipate paying for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be compensated at the top of the range for a position as candidates must possess experience and qualifications that far exceed the requirements
