Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using PySpark on Databricks.
- Integrate and process data using Apache Kafka.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to ensure data quality and availability.
- Ensure best practices for version control, testing, and code documentation.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines and jobs.
- Act in data governance and security in compliance with internal and regulatory policies.
Qualifications
- Solid experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (preferably with PySpark).
- Advanced knowledge of Apache Kafka (real-time data production and consumption).
- Experience with programming languages such as Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD, version control with Git, and DevOps practices applied to data.
- Experience with data modeling, partitioning, and query optimization.
