Responsibilities
- You design, configure, and operate the Azure network infrastructure, including hub-and-spoke and hybrid architectures (VNets, Routing, Load Balancer, Application Gateway, VPN, ExpressRoute)
- You take on the design, configuration, and operation of Palo Alto Firewalls in Azure, including policies, NAT rules, routing, and security zones
- As part of operational support, you provide Level-2 support for Azure network and firewall-related incidents and service requests
- As a network specialist, you will support Azure projects from the design phase through implementation to Go-Live
- You ensure that security standards and best practices for cloud networks are adhered to
- Through your contribution, you develop and improve Azure network standards, reference architectures, and technical guidelines
- If necessary, you support automation approaches and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts in the network environment
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in Azure Networking and Hybrid Cloud Connectivity
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, ideally in Azure environments
- Very good understanding of network fundamentals such as routing, switching, DNS, IP addressing, VPN, and security concepts
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and Level-2 support of network environments
- Team-oriented personality with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and trust-based environment, as well as a structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-700) are an advantage
