As a Data & Systems Engineer (NetSuite & BigQuery) (m/f/d), you will lay the technical foundation for our continued scaling. You will take responsibility for our central data and systems infrastructure, drive NetSuite's in-house management forward, and elevate Doonails to the next tech level with smart automations and an AI-first approach.
Your Role & Your Impact ⚡️
In this role, you will form the backbone of our IT and data landscape. You will ensure that NetSuite and our order process run smoothly, securely, and performantly, while establishing our data foundation in BigQuery on a stable base.

In this role, you will be a central part of our IT team, independently driving the in-house ownership of our systems and actively shaping the transformation into an AI-driven tech landscape at Doonails.
Your Core Responsibilities 👩💻👨💻
NetSuite & IT Order Process Ownership
- You will take full technical responsibility for our ERP system (NetSuite) and the entire IT-side order process, to manage, control, and continuously optimize NetSuite entirely in-house.
BigQuery & Data Warehouse Ownership
- You will be responsible for building, finalizing, and ensuring the long-term stability of a clean, structured data foundation in Google BigQuery for reliable data aggregation and analysis.
AI-First & Process Automation
- You will identify manual sub-processes along the value chain, automate them, and actively implement a future-proof AI-first mindset in our ERP and IT setup.
IT Security & System Stability
- You will ensure maximum IT security and availability in the order process and protect our interfaces and data flows from disruptions.
Minimum requirements
What You Bring to the Table 🤝
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of solid professional experience in Data Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Development, ideally in an e-commerce, scale-up, or tech environment.
- Mindset & Drive: AI-first thinking, strong interest in AI infrastructures, and the motivation to quickly adopt new technologies. High resilience, speed of execution, self-responsibility, and a strong willingness to learn.
- ERP Foundation: Solid experience in administration or development related to ERP systems (ideally Oracle NetSuite or a comparable system).
- Data Warehouse & Cloud: Good knowledge in the area of Cloud Data Warehousing (preferably Google BigQuery) for data aggregation and processing.
- Engineering & Coding Skills: Practical prior experience in software development / coding (e.g., GitHub, Vercel, Postgres, or similar stacks).
- Communication: Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Process & E-Commerce Understanding (Nice-to-have): Understanding of e-commerce, Shopify, and logistics order processes is a plus.
