About the company
Artificial intelligence is the greatest technological revolution of our generation, and our mission is to make Brazil a protagonist in this story.
Enter combines human expertise and artificial intelligence to execute critical, high-volume work that still relies on manual processes at scale. Our platform enables large companies to operate in complex workflows, starting with legal operations and expanding to the entire company. With a valuation of USD 1.2 billion and support from funds like Sequoia and Founders Fund, our goal is to lead the AI revolution in Brazil through efficiency and cutting-edge technology.
We are expanding to transform how organizations operate at scale. Here, you will not just maintain the status quo: you will create solutions that solve real problems for large companies and help define what the next generation of productivity in Brazil will look like.
About the Engineering and Data department
Engineering and Data is the department responsible for building and operating the systems that support our AI platform in production, facing unique scale challenges in Brazil: we process millions of documents and billions of LLM tokens daily. This requires managing high-scale data pipelines and a robust infrastructure capable of supporting advanced real-time analytics.
We are at the frontier of complex data modeling for systems based on LLMs, where data quality and governance are critical to ensuring reliable results. We face real-world distributed systems and production AI problems, such as non-determinism and latency, which require solid data engineering foundations and creativity to solve under uncertainty. We are organized into multidisciplinary squads that collaborate to ensure that every piece of our data architecture supports the exponential growth of our platform.
We seek technical mastery and rigor in data management. We prefer being overly cautious with system integrity over negligence, knowing that creating exceptional AI solutions requires precisely structured data and high-performance infrastructure. Here, we prioritize technical excellence and the delivery of real value, placing data challenges at the center of our innovation strategy.
What is the role?
This is the first dedicated Data Engineering hire at Enter. You will have the mission of founding the department, establishing architecture, quality, and infrastructure best practices from scratch. The challenge is to solve current inefficiencies at the root (such as slow queries and lack of standardization) while ensuring that decisions are data-driven. As you will be the first dedicated person, there will be no immediate upper layer of technical review; therefore, we are looking for a Senior profile with total autonomy to design the strategy, implement tools, and build the company's analytical foundation.
Why join us?
At Enter, you shape the future of AI in Brazil, working with:
- Obsession with Impact: We focus on results that move the needle for the client.
- Speed and Autonomy: We value those who make quick decisions with ownership.
- Intellectual Humility: We are a team of brilliant minds, but the ego stays at the door. We are always willing to learn, teach, and admit when we don't know something.
- Transparency: Honesty about mistakes and successes so we can grow fast.
We offer autonomy, purpose, and the chance to solve unprecedented technical challenges alongside leadership.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Data Engine Architecture: Build and evolve the core data ecosystem of Enter, ensuring that other teams can consume, organize, and extract value autonomously, scalably, and performantly.
- Analytics Engineering and Modeling: Structure complex transactional data for analytical consumption, designing high-scale pipelines and Data Warehouse and OLAP solutions that support strategic business decisions.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement rigorous quality, observability, and automated testing processes, eliminating inconsistencies and ensuring that data is a reliable source for the entire company.
- Strategic Partnership with Product, Engineering, and Operations: Act as a bridge between the Product, Engineering, and Operations (AID) teams, translating business demands into robust data architectures and solutions that accelerate value delivery.
- Founding the Data Culture: As the first dedicated hire, define the stack, processes, and best practices for Data Engineering at the company, acting as the technical reference for scalability and governance.
- Drive cross-team initiatives: Lead complex projects that span multiple teams.
- Manage ambiguity and cross-team alignment: Structure the path in scenarios where neither the problem nor the owners are clear, aligning multiple stakeholders without formal authority over them.
- Reduce risk for complex projects early: Identify structural risks that affect multiple teams early in the cycle, before they become execution problems.
Requirements (What we are looking for?)
- Building Infrastructure from Scratch: Proven experience building data infrastructure from scratch, with the repertoire to design solutions, not just operating already established platforms.
- Data Modeling and Data Warehousing: Solid maturity in data modeling, data warehouse architecture, and organizing analytical flows.
- Authority in Data Quality: Practical experience in implementing observability and structured data testing in production (not just in theory).
- High Data Volume: Experience with high volumes of transactional data.
- Software Engineer Mindset: Skills to program and design systems, with fluency in software engineering beyond the operation of data tools.
- Business vision applied to technique: Understanding of how technical decisions connect to business results, prioritizing what generates the most impact.
- Work in Agile Environments: History of working in multidisciplinary squads, communicating technical risks clearly to non-technical managers.
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical decisions to different stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Intensity and Energy: Ability to sustain an accelerated and high-quality delivery pace. You thrive in startup environments, maintaining focus and energy even under high pressure and ambiguity.
- Hands-on Profile: You possess a practical and operational stance, not just defining strategies, but also actively involving yourself in execution, whether by prototyping solutions, configuring tools, performing analyses, or solving critical operational problems to ensure the project moves forward.
- Collaborative Work: You thrive in collaborative environments, valuing knowledge exchange and the collective construction of solutions, working fluidly with multidisciplinary teams.
- On-site Availability: Availability for 100% on-site work in São Paulo (Pinheiros), from Monday to Friday.
What is not necessary
- Real-time analytics: This is not a current business necessity.
- Single-tool specialist: You do not need to master a specific language or platform; we value the technical foundation.
Signs that it is not a good fit
- Dependency on ready-made infrastructure: You have never built something from scratch and do not have the repertoire to architect solutions.
- "Hostage" to tools: You focus excessively on specific technologies instead of fundamentals.
- Aversion to code: You avoid or are afraid of writing software, focusing only on tool configuration.
Differentiators (Nice to Have)
- Enterprise Clients: Experience with B2B, long cycles, and complex requirements.
- Domain of Regulated Sectors: Practical experience in developing digital solutions for the legal sector (LegalTech), financial sector (FinTech), or other markets with high regulatory and operational complexity.
- Experience with AI/LLM-based Products: Experience in products whose core value proposition involves artificial intelligence or language models, demonstrating the ability to manage the uncertainty and performance inherent to these technologies.
