IT Support Engineer (all genders)
About working at envelio
We are proud to have been recognized as one of the hundred most innovative clean technology companies worldwide. And we want to achieve even more with our shared vision of driving the energy transition forward with the help of digital technologies. Our web application platforms already enable the digitization and automation of core processes for grid operators.
We are a down-to-earth team of coffee and mate lovers. Our geek humor results in a ritualistic use of emojis and the encyclopedic exploration of useless knowledge. More than 150 envelians with over 20 different nationalities are already on board. Come join us and grow with us!
Your Role
As an IT Support Engineer (all genders), you are the first point of contact for everyday IT problems and a trusted partner for colleagues throughout the company.
You combine practical troubleshooting with sound administrative knowledge in device and identity management, networks, and productivity tools. In doing so, you ensure secure and reliable systems and communicate clearly and concisely in every ticket and interaction.
You look for patterns behind errors, improve documentation and processes, and use automation and integrations to reduce repetitive tasks and prevent problems from recurring.
When problems are cross-functional or require deeper expertise, you coordinate escalations, ensure thorough handovers, and contribute to finding lasting solutions.
How you make an impact
You ensure a smoothly functioning IT environment for our colleagues by:
- Handling tickets from capture to closure; documenting steps, context, and outcomes
- Operating MDM: enrollment, profiles/policies, compliance, app deployment, lifecycle
- Managing productivity tools: email/calendar, collaboration, file sharing, licensing
- Performing identity management: user lifecycle, groups, MFA support, triage for Conditional Access and low-risk changes
- Connecting and automating SaaS tools by integrating their APIs and creating workflows that optimize data flow and business processes
- Monitoring the office LAN and WLAN for faults and issues, performing basic troubleshooting and configuration changes
- Creating and deleting databases
- Leading escalations and problem management; maintaining and automating runbooks/KB where appropriate
- Adhering to security/ISMS requirements and ensuring traceability of administrator actions
