About the Opportunity
Java Backend – AI-Assisted Code Analyst
We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to analyze, review, and optimize code using Generative AI tools. The professional will work on the evolution of critical applications, reducing technical debt, improving software quality, and supporting the adoption of modern development practices in an agile and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Participate in solution design and software architecture;
- Review, improve, and optimize source code using advanced AI tools and best development practices;
- Document solutions and technical evolutions in JIRA, Confluence, and/or ALM;
- Analyze applications developed in Java and Spring Boot, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability;
- Utilize AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot and Devin, to accelerate code analysis, refactoring, and documentation;
- Collaborate with engineering teams in identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities;
- Support the implementation of best practices in both Backend and Frontend development;
- Contribute to the evolution of CI/CD processes;
- Interact with production support teams to monitor and resolve demands.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Software Developer;
- Hands-on experience with AI tools for development, such as:
- GitHub Copilot;
- Devin;
- Experience in improving code quality and reducing technical debt;
- Knowledge of:
- Java;
- Spring Boot;
- JavaScript;
- Maven;
- Node.js (JADE);
- HTML;
- Oracle database;
- REST APIs and Microservices;
- CI/CD pipelines;
- Git and DevOps practices;
- Strong knowledge of software security and quality using tools such as:
- Fortify;
- SonarQube;
- English B2
- Spanish B2
Other Requirements
- Availability for on-call duty or shift work, when necessary;
- Ability to work in dynamic and high-pressure environments.
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cloud platforms and distributed systems;
- Knowledge of Treasury, Financial Markets, or Financial Services products;
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
- Interest in new technologies and innovation;
- Good communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
Position Conditions
- 100% remote work;
- Availability for future relocation to Portugal or Spain is mandatory, if required due to project, company strategy, or legal requirements;
- While in Brazil, the work will be performed entirely remotely;
