To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Application Services Engineer (w/m/d) who ensures the stable, secure, and performant operation of our application landscape with deep technical understanding and actively contributes to its further development.
Your Responsibilities
- Analysis and resolution of complex technical disruptions, problem cases, and performance issues
- Ensuring the stability, security, and continuous improvement of business-critical services
- Participation in architecture and design decisions in the areas of applications, databases, and middleware
- Independent planning, prioritization, and implementation of technical measures
- Further development of the operating landscape through automation (e.g., Ansible), process optimization, and expansion of monitoring and observability structures
- Implementation of security requirements (e.g., hardening, certificate management, authorizations, compliance)
- Handling complex tickets, including root cause analysis and sustainable solution development
- Close collaboration with development, service, and infrastructure teams, as well as supporting customers with demanding technical questions
What You Bring
- Several years of experience in operating application, database, or middleware systems
- Completed degree in IT, a vocational training as an IT specialist, or comparable practical experience
- In-depth knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Oracle databases and/or middleware
- Linux and/or Windows operating systems
- Monitoring & Observability
- Automation (e.g., Ansible, scripting)
- Ability to holistically analyze complex technical interrelationships and develop sustainable solutions
- Experience in contributing to architecture or design decisions
- Structured, forward-thinking, and efficient work style, as well as a strong sense of quality and security
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of cross-team collaboration
- Language skills: German (min. B1), English skills are an advantage
- Ideally, initial experience with certificate management, complex application environments, or collaboration with DevOps teams
