About the Division
For the "Spectrum Dominance System Engineering" department, we are looking for a "Lead Engineer for EW Systems integrated into Aircrafts (w/m/d)" at the Ulm location, to start as soon as possible.
The "Spectrum Dominance System Engineering" department develops customer solutions in the field of Electronic Warfare and Electronic Countermeasures for airborne systems and is responsible for conception, implementation, integration, and acceptance.
Furthermore, we are involved in national and European committees and customer working groups, representing the industry side to conceptualize future system solutions and define development roadmaps in the field of "Electronic Warfare".
Your Responsibilities
- Technical leadership of extensive, complex large-scale projects in the field of Electronic Warfare for airborne systems
- Definition of concepts and technical solutions for distributed systems for monitoring and jamming radars or radio links
- Responsibility for the creation, validation, and verification of requirements, as well as the system's architecture and interfaces
- Responsibility for the integration of the overall system into the flying platform, considering all certification aspects
- Definition of the system's development process from modeling to the execution of flight campaigns
- Selection and technical management of suppliers
- Initiation of necessary measures in case of deviations from planned system functionality
- Contribution to technology roadmaps for innovative multi-sensor / multi-platform systems as well as for Software-Defined Defense in the field of Electronic Warfare
- Technical consulting for the Business Line and support in proposal preparation
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable technical field
- Many years of experience in the technical leadership of complex development projects
- Many years of experience in the integration of mission systems into airborne platforms
- Practical experience in system simulation, model-based systems engineering, and Software-Defined Defense
- Comprehensive practical experience in the field of Electronic Warfare and airborne platforms
- Analytical and conceptual skills as well as a systematic approach to work
- Fluent German and very good English skills
