Your Responsibilities
- Performing system conception
- Defining, validating, and reviewing system requirements
- Defining the system design and creating the system model
- Specifying modules and subsystems in close coordination with responsible disciplines (e.g., Hardware, Software)
- Integrating components into the system
- Ensuring the execution of system verification and qualification
- Creating and reviewing technical documentation for systems/subsystems (e.g., specifications, integration and test plans, test specifications for integration and acceptance tests, design descriptions)
- Technical planning (effort, time) of system developments
- Ensuring compliance with development and production processes
- Compliance with the norms/standards required for the task
- Technical sales support during the initiative and quotation phase
- Mentoring and knowledge transfer
Your Profile
- Completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the development of aircraft systems or avionics systems and devices in civil/military aviation or in systems engineering of complex digital systems
- Extensive experience in Requirements Engineering
- Knowledge of aviation interface standards (e.g., ARINC-429, -664, -818)
- Knowledge of relevant guidelines and standards (e.g., ARP 4754, DO178, DO-254, SeBOK) as well as aircraft certification regulations
- Experience in environmental qualification of devices according to RTCA DO-160 or comparable MIL-STDs
- Knowledge of common tools (e.g., DOORS, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, Rhapsody)
- Experience in analyzing existing processes and developing optimization measures
- Experience in dealing with external and internal partners
- Strong quality awareness, high customer focus, and confident interaction with customers
- Strong contact and communication skills, and enjoyment of teamwork
- Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
