KBKG LLC
Head of Software Partnerships
Description
KBKG LLC is a specialty tax provider combining industry expertise and technology to help businesses and their advisors identify and capture tax incentives. We are a fast-growing, innovative company committed to exceptional client service, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Job Description
The Head of Software Partnerships will lead KBKG’s software-to-software partnership strategy. The role’s primary mandate is to source, negotiate, and grow native integrations, embedded solutions, and white-label relationships that place KBKG’s software within third-party software workflows, including tax planning, property management, real estate, and investor platforms. The role will partner with internal Product and technical teams on implementation while owning commercial agreements and post-launch adoption, usage, and revenue. CPA-firm and traditional referral relationships may be supported selectively but are not the primary focus of this position.
Responsibilities
- Build software-to-software partnerships centered on native integrations, embedded solutions, white-label offerings, and partner-informed product and market execution.
- Build the strategic partner thesis and target list across tax planning software, property management platforms, real estate and investor technology, marketplaces, and data providers; pursue CPA-adjacent opportunities selectively as a secondary channel.
- Lead outreach, discovery, qualification, and business case development for each partnership opportunity.
- Personally source and lead negotiations end-to-end for native integration, embedded, white-label, marketplace, revenue-share, and co-selling agreements, including commercial and operational terms; referral and affiliate models are secondary.
- Own the commercial path from opportunity through signed agreement, then coordinate with Product and technical teams that lead implementation and launch.
- Design and institutionalize a repeatable partnership program, including partner tiers, economics, enablement standards, governance, reporting, and review cadence.
- As a secondary responsibility, oversee selected CPA-firm, referral, and affiliate relationships, including partner activation, incentive design, performance management, and optimization.
- Lead partner enablement and joint go-to-market efforts, including onboarding, positioning, sales materials, marketplace presence, coordinated launches, and performance reviews.
- Partner with KBKG leadership and Product Management to translate partner feedback, customer needs, packaging, positioning, and launch readiness into market-ready product priorities.
- Own software partner KPIs, tracking, attribution, and continuous optimization, including signed agreements, partner-sourced pipeline, post-launch adoption and usage, closed revenue, activation and conversion rates, velocity, and overall contribution; track CPA-firm and affiliate results separately as secondary channels.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in software partnerships with substantial responsibility for software-to-software commercial relationships.
- Commercially focused business development leadership, with the ability to work effectively with internal Product and technical teams without serving as the integration architect.
- Must have personally sourced, negotiated, closed, and launched native software integrations, embedded solutions, or white-label partnerships, with measurable post-launch adoption, usage, or revenue results.
- Strong commercial acumen, including understanding of revenue models, joint go-to-market motions, contract structures, incentives, and deal economics
- Experience identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing software platforms where KBKG capabilities can be integrated into the partner’s product and customer workflow; CPA-firm and traditional channel experience is helpful but not a substitute for software partnership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Compensation
$140,000 – 170,000 base salary plus commissions; OTE $200 – 250k
