About the opportunity

As Head of Information Security (m/f/d), you will take on a central leadership role in the CISO area, strategically develop your team, and act as an important sparring partner for management.
Your Responsibilities
- Professional and disciplinary leadership of a team in the area of information security (2nd Line)
- Further development and management of the ISMS from a governance and compliance perspective
- Ensuring independent monitoring (2nd Line) of information security and close cooperation with the 1st Line (IT) and Audit (3rd Line)
- Definition and further development of security policies, standards, and control mechanisms
- Responsibility for regulatory requirements (DORA, VAIT, MaRisk) including interpretation and derivation of specifications
- Management and support of internal and external audits (e.g., supervisory actions) as well as ensuring the sustainable execution and follow-up of findings
- Monitoring of regulatory developments and derivation of binding measures
- Advising management and business units as an independent control and governance function, and preparing decision proposals for the Executive Board and top management

You
- Have successfully completed a degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field
- Possess sound professional and proven leadership experience in information security or cyber security with a focus on governance/compliance (ideally in the 2nd Line of Defense)
- Are characterized by very good knowledge of regulatory requirements in the financial sector (DORA, VAIT, BAIT, MaRisk)
- Have experience in supporting audits and reviews (internal audit, external auditors, supervision) and a clear understanding of the Three Lines of Defense
- Possess the ability to prepare complex issues precisely and appropriately for the audience, up to the top management level
- Combine strategic thinking with implementation strength and strong stakeholder management
- Have fluent German and very good English skills (written and spoken)
