Minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Geology, or related fields;
Required Qualifications
- Completed degree in the indicated or related areas, combined with experience in geoscientific data or mining;
- Solid experience in business analysis, data governance, requirements management, and process mapping in the geology in mining environment;
- Knowledge in geotechnics, geometallurgy, geochemistry, geophysics, geological modeling, mineral resource estimation, or production reconciliation;
- Experience in integrating or migrating legacy databases and digital transformation initiatives;
- Knowledge of geological data management systems, preferably Fusion GDMS and/or AcQuire;
- Knowledge of data modeling, SQL, relational databases, data integration, validation rules, and metadata management;
- Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, and DAX for building indicators, analyses, and dashboards;
- Knowledge in managing and validating drillhole data and geoscientific data, with QA/QC practices and data governance;
- Advanced English for international interface work;
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or complementary training in Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Data Governance;
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, Azure Data Fundamentals, or equivalent;
Responsibilities and Job Activities
- Act as a business specialist for the Geoinformation Management department, defining functional requirements, business rules, data flows, and systemic improvements;
- Maintain, enhance, and govern the corporate geological database, ensuring data integrity, consistency, traceability, standardization, and availability;
- Support the integration, validation, consolidation, and migration of historical databases and platforms used in Brazil and Canada;
- Define and maintain validation rules, registration standards, data dictionaries, metadata, QA/QC procedures, and change controls;
- Ensure the reliability of drillhole data and other geoscientific information that supports geological modeling, resource estimation, and production reconciliation;
- Integrate geological, geotechnical, geometallurgical, geochemical, geophysical, and production data;
- Develop analyses, indicators, and dashboards in Power BI to support technical and managerial decisions;
- Identify gaps, duplicates, deviations, inconsistencies, and risks related to data quality and usage;
- Collaborate with key users, technical areas, operations, technology, and suppliers in prioritizing demands, testing, validating deliverables, and adopting solutions;
- Support digital transformation initiatives and continuous improvement in the integrated management of geoscientific information.
