Required Qualifications
- Solid experience in corporate networks and network security.
- Experience with corporate firewall technologies and security platforms.
- Knowledge of network segmentation, routing, switching, VPN, Internet edge, and secure connectivity.
- Experience with firewall rule governance and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, including least privilege, defense in depth, secure access, and zero trust.
- Experience with security monitoring, event analysis, firewall logs, and VPN activity.
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes, including incidents, problems, changes, major incidents, and configuration management.
- Experience in analyzing complex technical incidents and problems and defining corrective actions.
- Experience working with MSPs (Managed Service Providers), vendors, and multi-vendor environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in complex, transforming environments with multiple interfaces.
- Advanced English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Check Point, or equivalent technologies.
- Cisco CCNP Security certification.
- Cisco CCNA Security certification.
- Check Point certification.
- Microsoft Azure Security Engineer certification.

- Experience in industrial environments, mining, or large organizations with distributed operations.
- Experience with network segmentation, firewall governance, and secure connectivity.

Responsibilities and Job Activities
- Support the operation, governance, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of Vale Base Metals' global network security and connectivity services.
- Manage and support the firewall rule lifecycle, including implementation, review, optimization, and deactivation.
- Validate firewall configurations and policies according to security standards and access requirements.
- Support periodic firewall reviews, access recertification, and rule rationalization.
- Identify and support the remediation of excessive access, policy deviations, and configuration risks.
- Support the implementation of network segmentation and least privilege principles.
- Support secure remote access platforms, site-to-site VPNs, cloud connectivity security controls, and partner connectivity.
- Support the resolution of complex incidents related to network security and connectivity.
- Participate in the response to major incidents involving firewalls, network access, remote connectivity, and perimeter controls.
- Perform root cause analysis of recurring incidents, downtimes, incorrect configurations, and operational issues related to security.
- Work with MSPs, vendors, and internal teams in defining and executing corrective and preventive actions.
- Review planned changes considering security risks, operational readiness, and rollback capability.
- Analyze alerts, security events, firewall logs, VPN activity, and security monitoring information.
- Identify operational risks, recurring security concerns, and opportunities for control improvement.
- Support the integration of new network security technologies and services into operations.
- Validate runbooks, support procedures, monitoring coverage, escalation paths, CMDB records, and operational documentation.
- Support audits and security reviews by maintaining documented evidence and controls.
- Work with MSPs, security vendors, telecommunications providers, and technology partners to ensure service quality and adherence.
- Coordinate actions with infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, workplace, identity, applications, and project teams.
- Translate technical analyses into practical recommendations for managers, service owners, and other stakeholders.
- Support and mentor more junior professionals and contribute to the evolution of network security operational standards.
