As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will build, operate, and optimize our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our technical foundation remains stable, scalable, and future-proof.

You will be responsible for core infrastructure components—from compute and storage to content delivery, DNS, and network security—keeping the most important threads together in the engine room.

You will design network architecture, scaling, and high availability, building infrastructure in a way that remains reproducible, automated, and clearly traceable.

You will keep an eye on operating costs, identify optimization potential, and ensure that our cloud is set up not only for performance but also for economic efficiency.

You will actively participate in the setup, relocation, and migration of our infrastructure—including well-planned cutover and data migration steps—so that technical transitions do not become a blind flight.

You have a completed technical degree, relevant vocational training, or solid practical experience in an IT environment and bring at least 3 years of professional experience in cloud or IT infrastructure.

You have deep knowledge of at least one public cloud, i.e., Google Cloud or AWS, ideally both, and are familiar with Kubernetes, networking, and DNS/CDN, for example Cloudflare or CloudFront.

Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and scripting, for example with Python or Bash, are part of your toolkit.

When it comes to recurring tasks, you immediately think of automation and are eager to build infrastructure in a clean, stable, and repeatable way rather than clicking it together by hand.

To really get a foothold with us, you must master German at at least a C1 level.

Experience with migrations or cross-account architectures is a clear plus and will help you look under the hood with us particularly quickly.

Your interest in AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) or, ideally, initial experience with agentic AI like Codex, Claude Cowork, or Gemini Spark is welcome to be applied practically here.
