We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a background in systems engineering, product engineering, and electronics manufacturing.
This individual will take technical ownership of the product, working closely within a cross-functional engineering team and with manufacturing teams to transfer product knowledge, establish production and test capabilities, resolve technical issues, and ensure readiness for sustained production. The role will also support product modifications, engineering changes, and LRU redesigns throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities would include
- 01Product Technical Ownership: Take technical ownership of an assigned electronic product and develop a thorough understanding of its design, operation, interfaces, manufacturing processes, and test methods.
- 02Systems Engineering & Product Development: Serve as the systems engineer for product modifications and LRU redesigns, coordinating requirements, interfaces, verification activities, and technical solutions across electrical, software, mechanical, test, and manufacturing disciplines.
- 03Technology Transfer & Production Launch: Lead engineering activities associated with transferring an established product to a new manufacturing location, including transferring product knowledge, manufacturing requirements, test methods, and technical documentation.
- 04Manufacturing & Test Engineering: Work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams to establish production processes, replicate existing production and test capabilities, and resolve technical issues encountered during the production transition.
- 05Electronic Systems Troubleshooting: Evaluate and troubleshoot RF and electronic systems, assemblies, and production issues using electrical schematics, technical documentation, electronic test equipment, and RF test equipment.
- 06Engineering Change Management: Manage engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle, including technical evaluation, impact assessment, implementation, and verification.
- 07Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain engineering documentation, manufacturing requirements, test procedures, and other technical materials necessary to support production and ongoing product development.
Required
- 08Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 093+ years of engineering experience with electronic products or systems.
- 10Strong understanding of electronic hardware, including the ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- 11Experience with systems engineering, product engineering, engineering change control, requirements management, verification, or product lifecycle management.
- 12Ability to work collaboratively across engineering and manufacturing disciplines to resolve technical challenges and implement engineering solutions.
- 13Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including trips of up to one month, to support technology transfer, production launch, and related engineering activities.
Preferred
- 14Familiarity with aviation navigation and communications systems, including NAVAIDs, DME, VOR, TACAN, ILS, GNSS/GPS, ADS-B, transponders, air traffic control communications, or related avionics systems.
- 15Experience with circuit design or modification, PCB design, RF system design, embedded electronics, or mixed-signal systems.
- 16Experience with technology transfer, production launch, or transitioning an established electronic product to a new manufacturing operation.
- 17Coursework or experience related to DFM (Design for Manufacturability), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement.
