Specific Job Responsibilities
- Rigorously apply all Alstom and local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards, ensuring safe operations in signaling rooms and trackside environments.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in signaling equipment, interlocking systems, SCADA, and associated infrastructure.
- Perform system checks and preventive actions to maintain operational reliability and meet contractual performance targets.
- Record failures and events in defect management systems, with accurate and complete data for reliability growth analysis.
- Support technical investigations with Engineering and suppliers on complex issues affecting signaling and SCADA system performance.
- Implement field modifications and software updates as required.
- Contribute to Experience Feedback (REX), aiming for continuous improvement of signaling and SCADA systems.
- Coordinate troubleshooting activities and ensure efficient shift handovers for service continuity.
Qualifications and Experience
Skills
- Technical degree in electrical or electronics engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technician in troubleshooting/investigation/testing (mechanical or electrical/electronic).
- Intermediate IT knowledge.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in signaling and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of EHS standards and safe work practices in railway environments.
- Ability to interpret signaling diagrams, SCADA architecture, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with metro-railway signaling principles and networked control systems.
- Basic knowledge of configuration and change management processes.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for diagnostics and report generation.
Previous Experience
- Several years of technical experience in troubleshooting signaling systems, SCADA, or similar railway control systems.
- Field experience with maintenance or commissioning of signaling and control systems.
- Knowledge of EHS standards and operational safety.
Languages
- Required: Portuguese (native or fluent).
Travel
Yes, occasional travel for support at other locations or for training purposes.
- Preferred: experience in railway safety, customer interaction, and engineering principles.
- Preferred: English (for technical documentation, system interaction, and external meetings).
