Job Description
Role mission
The position acts as the IT/Product Owner for the SAP Integration Platforms (PI / CPI) within HC/BDO2. Your mission is to take global product ownership of our central SAP middleware systems, managing both our established SAP Process Integration (PI/PO) environment and driving the strategic transition and cloud migration toward SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI / BTP Integration Suite). As a vital pillar of our multi-platform landscape, you ensure highly reliable, secure transactional data flows and coordinate the seamless integration of our core ERP systems with internal and external enterprise environments.
At Bosch, we believe that diversity is the engine of innovation, which is why all positions are eligible for people with disabilities, in vulnerable situations, and minority groups.
Join us and feel the difference. Work#LikeABosch.
Core responsibilities
- Define the product vision and backlog for SAP PI and CPI in an agile framework. Drive the strategic, hybrid transition of legacy on-premises PI interfaces to modern cloud-native SAP CPI (BTP Integration Suite) patterns, aligning with our overall post-merger integration (PMI) roadmap.
- Establish and enforce global integration standards, schema governance, and security policies for SAP-centric interfaces. Define best practices for interface design using standard SAP methodologies (e.g., IDocs, RFCs, Proxies, ABAP Gateway, OData, and REST APIs) to guarantee clean data mappings and sustainable integrations.
- Collaborate closely with other Integration Platform Owners (e.g., AIS, Axway MFT, IBM MQ) and enterprise architects. Ensure end-to-end data pipelines from core ERP/S/4HANA environments flow seamlessly into other platforms and modern cloud data warehouses like Databricks.
- Oversee the operational stability, system performance, and monitoring of all SAP integration interfaces to ensure high uptime and business continuity. Steer external partners and implementation teams (such as SAP and Infosys) for optimal service delivery.
Qualifications
Expected background and capabilities
- Several years of proven track record as an IT Product Owner, Solution Architect, or Technical Lead for enterprise-scale SAP integration solutions in a global corporate environment.
- Deep technical knowledge of SAP Process Integration/Orchestration (PI/PO) and modern SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) / SAP BTP Integration Suite. Strong experience with SAP core modules (SD/MM), standard SAP integration technologies, mapping mechanisms (graphical, XSLT, Java), and secure communication protocols.
- Strong experience in agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and managing complex, international stakeholder landscapes. Confident communication and negotiation skills, acting as a trusted interface between SAP business units and central IT platform teams.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
