Responsibilities
- Design, validate, and evolve the architecture of high-complexity loan core solutions.
- Define and disseminate best practices in architecture, engineering, and design patterns among the squads.
- Lead the legacy modernization strategy, including coexistence, data migration, and cut-over.
- Optimize the platform's performance, scalability, resilience, and observability.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and training to software architects within the squads, supporting the team's technical and behavioral development.
- Participate in technical reviews, ADRs, and structural architectural decisions alongside the Principal Engineer.
- Support quality, security, and technical governance initiatives aligned with the banking regulatory context.
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation plans with business and technology stakeholders.
- Support technical team management, offering direction and guidance in activity and career development.
Requirements
- Solid experience as a solutions architect or technical lead in high-complexity, mission-critical projects.
- Strong knowledge of .NET and design of microservices and APIs in production.
- Advanced experience with Oracle and large-scale data modeling.
- Consistent experience with distributed, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with messaging (Kafka and/or RabbitMQ) in high-transactional volume environments.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Knowledge of observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting of distributed systems.
- Technical leadership, architect mentorship, and architectural decision-making capabilities.
- Experience in agile and multi-squad environments.
- Hands-on technical leadership approach, with strong engineering and development capabilities, contributing directly to design decisions, PoCs, and code reviews when necessary.
Differentiators
- Previous experience in core banking, preferably in loans/credit, or in regulated environments (BACEN, LGPD).
- Experience in legacy system modernization (Sybase, VB6 or similar) and patterns like Strangler Fig, ACL, and CDC.
- Advanced experience with Oracle Exadata.
- Proficiency in AI development (Claude Code and/or Cursor).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS), IaC, and advanced CI/CD.
- Mastery of DDD, Clean/Hexagonal Architecture, CQRS, and Event Sourcing.
- Experience in high-availability and large-transactional volume systems.
- Previous experience leading more than one team simultaneously.
