ABOUT THE ROLE AND MISSION
Act within the Customer Intelligence team in the development and evolution of microservices in Java, ensuring quality, performance, and integration with other systems.
IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY, YOU WILL
- Develop and maintain APIs and microservices in Java (Spring Boot, Micronaut, or similar).
- Model RESTful APIs following an API First approach (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to the team's code and architecture standards.
- Write automated tests (unit and integration).
- Integrate services with relational and non-relational databases, queues, and internal/external APIs.
- Implement secure solutions, using authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Basic Auth).
- Document relevant application decisions and behaviors.
- Support less experienced team members and propose process and technical improvements.
- Participate in architectural decisions, contributing with good design and scalability practices.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
REQUIRED
- Completed higher education.
- Java 8+ and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA).
- Experience with microservices architecture, messaging (Kafka, SQS, SNS), caching, and observability.
- Kubernetes (EKS) and database modeling/optimization (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Good deployment/CI practices.
- 5+ years in backend, with technical leadership or mentoring.
- Availability to work in person in: Belo Horizonte (MG), São Paulo, Curitiba, or Recife
PREFERRED
- Experience with Micronaut or other frameworks besides Spring.
- Experience with AWS: EC2, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudFront, ELB, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of security for web applications and microservices (authentication/authorization).
- Practice of Gitflow, CI/CD (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Use of AI tools for development (Copilot, Cursor, etc.) with awareness of best practices.
- Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps practices.
