Here, your role will be:
- Monitoring and Response: Monitor security dashboards (SIEM/EDR) to identify, triage, and respond to alerts and potential cyber incidents.
- Vulnerability Management: Perform vulnerability scans on networks, systems, and applications, supporting technology teams in the mitigation plan and patch application.
- Tool Administration: Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of security solutions (Firewalls, Antivirus/EDR, Email Filters, VPNs, and Identity Management).
- Awareness: Support the dissemination of information security culture, assisting in the creation of communications, simulated phishing campaigns, and user guidance.
- Operational Support and Documentation: Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident reports, and security policy documentation.
- Basic Investigation: Conduct initial analyses of suspicious emails, anomalous network traffic, and malware, escalating complex cases to senior levels.
Essential Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree completed or in the final year of study in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Networks, Information Systems, or related fields.
- Network Fundamentals: Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing) and topologies.
- Operating Systems: Familiarity with administration and basic security in Windows and Linux environments.
- Security Concepts: Clear understanding of confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles (CIA Triad), cryptography, authentication, and access control.
- Analytical Stance: Investigative profile with strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to analyze logs and system events.
- Communication: Ability to translate technical concepts to business users clearly and empathetically.
Desirable Requirements
- Industry Certifications: Possess entry-level security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, Cisco CyberOps Associate, or equivalents).
- Automation and Scripting: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for optimizing routine tasks.
- Framework Familiarity: Basic understanding of market standards and frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
- Cloud Experience: Basic knowledge of security in cloud computing environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Technical English: Intermediate level with fluent reading ability for understanding manuals, tool documentation, and threat intelligence reports.
