About Tako
Tako is the AI platform for people operations. We were born to solve one of Brazil's biggest problems: the bureaucracy that holds companies back and drains the time, money, and energy of those building businesses. It's a tough problem, and our solution is an infrastructure that combines deterministic applications, like payroll and real-time calculation, with AI agents that perform the work and tackle labor complexity head-on.
This currently lives in two products on the same platform:
- Tako Payroll & People Ops: handles the entire employee journey, from hiring to termination, with real-time calculation and automatic integration with eSocial.
- Tako Recruiter: interviews all candidates via conversation, connected to the ATS the company already uses.
On top of this, an intelligence layer: Otto, which keeps labor laws, collective agreements, and jurisprudence alive within the payroll system, responding about costs, headcount, and turnover with the company's actual data.
To date, we've processed over R$ 1 billion in payroll, have an NPS of +80, zero churn since launch, and payroll closing is 70% faster. Tako was founded in late 2022 by Fernando Gadotti (DogHero) and Sebastián Mejía (Rappi), has offices in São Paulo and San Francisco, and has already raised over R$ 175 million from Ribbit Capital, a16z, and ONEVC. Solving this requires big tech talent with startup agility, and that's what we've built here: a fast-paced environment where everyone owns their work, from career starters to seasoned professionals. We value diversity of opinions, stories, and experiences, because constructive exchange is essential for developing bold and relevant solutions.
Our team works in person at the Itaim Bibi office in São Paulo.
About the team
Implementation is where Tako wins or loses a client. It's the team at the center of the client experience, product, and revenue: no account goes live without passing through here.
As the user base grows rapidly, a good portion of the process is still being designed. The team operates with high autonomy and little bureaucracy, in constant coordination with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.
About the position
We are looking for someone to own the implementation experience at Tako, from contract signing to the client running with Tako.
This is a high-autonomy role with a strong operational focus. You will work directly with founders and leaders to structure how each client enters and operates within Tako Payroll, while simultaneously building and refining the process as we scale. You will be an executor, performing implementations with a high level of quality and speed, and a builder, continuously improving the process, tools, and experience.
You will ensure that each client derives value from the very first days, that payroll runs correctly, and that the product improves with each implementation cycle. This role defines how Tako scales.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end implementation: lead the complete process from signing to go-live, conduct implementation calls, align scope, timeline, and product configurations, and ensure each client is activated quickly and effectively.
- Accelerate time-to-value: translate each client's objectives and context into a clear implementation plan, configure the product with attention to detail (payroll parameters, rules, integrations), and ensure the client can operate independently as quickly as possible.
- Be the operational backbone: manage deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables for each project, coordinate closely with Sales and CS for frictionless handoffs, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously without compromising quality.
- Migrate and validate client data: bring employee records, history, and balances from the previous system to Tako, handle inconsistencies, and ensure the starting point is correct before the first payroll.
- Support the client during implementation: be the point of contact for questions and issues until handoff, resolve configuration-related matters, escalate bugs or product issues with clear context, and closely monitor the first few payroll runs.
- Build the implementation engine: create and improve playbooks, templates, and process flows, identify bottlenecks, enhance speed, quality, and scalability, and help define what constitutes an excellent implementation at Tako.
- Be the client's voice internally: bring patterns, feedback, and friction points to Product and Engineering, and contribute to product improvement based on your daily implementation experiences.
Requirements
- High autonomy: you take ownership, organize, and solve.
- Strong operational mindset, with attention to detail and execution quality.
- High quality standard: you notice when something is wrong before the client does.
- Comfort working directly with clients of various sizes and maturity levels.
- Ability to manage multiple implementations simultaneously.
- Ability to calibrate and communicate expectations clearly, even when the answer is no.
- Clear and direct communication, with organization and a fast pace.
- Ability to transform complexity into structure.
- Comfort with ambiguity: you build while you execute.
Preferred Qualifications
- Implementation or Customer Success experience in SaaS, especially HRTech or FinTech.
- Experience with data manipulation (advanced spreadsheets, SQL or similar) and migration between payroll or ERP systems.
- Consulting or implementation projects with a technical focus.
- Operations with a strong process and client orientation.
- Experience with payroll, HR administration, or HR systems.
